How to use this sheet

Write each player's name at the top of a column. There are 11 rounds: round one deals 3 cards and 3s are wild, round two deals 4 cards and 4s are wild, and so on up to 13 cards with Kings wild. Each row is labelled with its wild card.

When a player goes out by melding their whole hand into sets and runs, everyone else gets one more turn. Then each player counts the cards they couldn't meld: Aces 1, 2 to 10 face value, and Jacks, Queens and Kings 10. The player who went out writes 0.

After the Kings wild round, the lowest total wins. On a phone, tap a box to write a round's points; the sheet keeps the totals and circles whoever is lowest.

3-13 questions

How do you score 3-13? At the end of each round, players add up the cards they could not meld: Aces 1, 2 to 10 face value and face cards 10. The player who went out scores 0. The lowest total after 11 rounds wins.

What is wild in each round of 3-13? The card matching the number of cards dealt: 3s in the 3-card round, 4s in the 4-card round, then up through Jacks (11 cards), Queens (12) and Kings (13). Some groups add Jokers as extra wild cards.

How many rounds are in 3-13? Eleven, dealing 3 cards in the first and 13 in the last.

Is 3-13 the same as Five Crowns? They share the idea of growing hands and a changing wild card. Five Crowns uses its own five-suit deck with Jokers and different card values; 3-13 is played with one or two standard decks.

What counts as a meld in 3-13? A set of three or more cards of the same rank, or a run of three or more cards in sequence in the same suit. Wild cards can stand in for any card.

How many people can play 3-13? Two to four with one deck, and up to eight with two decks shuffled together.
